ZenaTech, Inc. Acquires Cardinal Civil Resources, Expanding Its DaaS Presence with Clients Including the U.S. Department of Transportation

August 8 2025

ZenaTech, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZENA) (FSE: 49Q) (BMV: ZENA), a provider of technology solutions specializing in artificial intelligence-powered drones, Drone as a Service (DaaS), enterprise software, and quantum computing, has announced the acquisition of Cardinal Civil Resources, a Virginia-based surveying and engineering firm with operations in three states in the southeastern U.S.

Cardinal Civil Resources has a strong track record executing complex projects for federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), as well as for state governments, municipalities, residential developers, national construction companies, and the National Park Service. The acquisition strengthens ZenaTech’s presence in the southeast and its portfolio of high-profile public and private clients.

This strategic move coincides with the recent proposal for a Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) regulation, unveiled on August 5 by U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean P. Duffy, which will facilitate the commercial use of drones without requiring individual permits for each operation.

With this, ZenaTech adds eight acquisitions in the U.S. as part of its goal of establishing 25 DaaS centers nationwide by the middle of next year. Its business model allows customers to access on-demand drone services without the need to invest in equipment, pilots, or regulatory compliance, focusing on sectors such as inspection, automation, and surveying.
