Zaffra engaged with airlines, policymakers, and industry leaders at the SAF Forum in Berlin organized by InventU

22-Sep-2025

Berlin, Germany – Zaffra participated in the Sustainable Aviation Fuels Forum organized by InventU, highlighting the need to strengthen market confidence to drive the transition to sustainable flight.

Zaffra CEO Jan Toschka participated in a panel alongside representatives from Ryanair, Moeve, and FuelsEurope to discuss the main challenges of scaling e-SAF production. Topics discussed included affordability, regulatory frameworks, and investment levers. Toschka emphasized that while the impact on passenger costs is manageable, investment in production capacity remains slow due to the lack of long-term purchase agreements.

In his opening remarks, he also underscored the importance of SAF certificates as a tool to improve the financial viability of projects and enable companies to reduce their Scope 3 emissions.

Zaffra reaffirmed his commitment to working with airlines, policymakers, and industry leaders to combine technological innovation, smart regulation, and new market mechanisms to accelerate investment in sustainable flying.
