Volatus Aerospace and Sentinel Boost Sovereign UAVs in Canada

Volatus Aerospace, a company specializing in unmanned systems, aerial intelligence, and autonomous solutions, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sentinel R&D Inc. to strengthen the development of UAV capabilities in Canada.

The agreement establishes a strategic collaboration aimed at developing advanced drone platforms, including interceptor systems, aligned with current defense and security needs. This initiative also reinforces Canada’s national strategy to consolidate a sovereign and competitive aerospace industry.

As part of the collaboration:

• Sentinel will contribute its expertise in UAV platform engineering, airframe design, and advanced composite materials manufacturing.

• Volatus will lead systems integration, autonomous software development, operational testing, and global commercialization.

• Both companies will explore opportunities to establish scalable production capabilities within Canada.

This agreement will combine manufacturing capabilities, autonomy, and integration into a complete aerospace platform, strengthening the drone ecosystem in the country and its position in international markets.
