Vertical Aerospace held eVTOL Discovery Day in Riyadh, in collaboration with the National Industrial Development Center (NIDC).

15-oct-2025

The event was attended by His Excellency Abdulaziz Al-Ahmadi, Deputy Minister of Industrial Development at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources; Peter Ashby, Director of Trade and Investment and Deputy Commissioner of Trade for the Middle East at the British Embassy in Riyadh; as well as more than 60 representatives from key entities, including GACA (General Authority of Civil Aviation), the Ministry of Investment, Cluster2, the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), airlines, helicopter operators, and private investors.

During the day, attendees explored how electric aviation can support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals, which seeks to diversify the economy and position the country as a regional leader in the next-generation aerospace industry.

The VX4, Vertical Aerospace’s eVTOL, was the centerpiece of the event. Designed to offer safer, quieter, and more sustainable flight, it accommodates one pilot and up to six passengers, combining comfort with operational efficiency.
