Skyports Drone Services has completed a pilot ship-to-shore delivery operation in the Great Lakes, in collaboration with Interlake Maritime Services, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), and Newlab. This initiative validates the use of drones as an effective and rapid solution for maritime logistics in real-world environments.

During testing, one of Skyports’ drones picked up lightweight cargo directly from an Interlake Maritime Services vessel and delivered it to land. Among the items transported were petroleum samples, drinking water, and lightweight mail, demonstrating key high-value applications in the maritime supply chain.
