SkyDrive participated in the Osaka 2025 Roundtable, held on March 26, where it presented its progress and projections for the development of advanced air mobility in Japan.
During the event, Governor Hirofumi Yoshimura emphasized the ambition to transform the OSAKAKO vertiport into a large-scale operational hub, aiming to position Osaka as an “Advanced Flying Car City” through close public-private collaboration.
The Kansai Economic Federation presented a roadmap seeking to establish sustained commercial eVTOL operations by 2030, with a goal of approximately 100 aircraft operating in Osaka Bay by 2035.
In this context, SkyDrive reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating the development of the ecosystem, focusing on aircraft certification and vertiport infrastructure as key pillars for realizing this vision.
This announcement positions Osaka as one of the most advanced markets in the adoption of urban air mobility, solidifying Japan’s role in the global race to deploy large-scale eVTOL networks.
