Nellie Technologies Joins Puro Global Biochar Supplier Network After Completing Preliminary Assessment

28 Jan 2026

Nellie Technologies, a British company specializing in carbon removal, has officially joined Puro’s global network of suppliers after successfully completing the Preliminary Assessment under the Puro Standard. This milestone enables the company to move towards future certifications and the eventual issuance of carbon removal credits (CORC).

Headquartered in South Wales, United Kingdom, Nellie Technologies operates engineered biological systems that convert atmospheric CO₂ into stable biochar for permanent carbon storage. The project integrates proprietary technology, on-site operations, and a rigorous monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) framework designed to ensure long-lasting and verifiable carbon removal.

The completion of the Preliminary Assessment provides early clarity for buyers, investors, and strategic partners by confirming that the project meets the Puro Standard’s eligibility criteria for future certifications. This step allows Nellie to advance its roadmap toward full certification and issuance of CORCs in voluntary carbon markets.

The addition of Nellie Technologies strengthens Puro’s global ecosystem of suppliers, expanding its offering of high-integrity biochar-based carbon removal solutions in a context of growing demand for durable and verified credits.
