Midnight eVTOL Production Progress and Certification Preparation

August 12 2025

The company maintains its short-term focus on expanding its production capabilities to reach an annual production rate of 50 aircraft at its manufacturing and testing facilities, which span approximately 700,000 square feet.

During the new product introduction phase, the built Midnight aircraft will be destined for certification processes and initial commercial deployments. Currently, six units are in various stages of production, three of them in final assembly at the Covington, Georgia, and Silicon Valley, California facilities. In parallel, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) continues to conduct reviews and inspections as part of the production certification efforts that began in January.

In Silicon Valley, a “golden manufacturing line” is being used for final assembly of the first Midnight units, optimizing processes and ensuring quality in the initial phase. The lessons learned from this process are being applied to the design and scale-up of high-volume production in Covington, where the first few months of operation have focused on manufacturing processes related to the Midnight fuselage.
