The first aircraft was delivered to the UAE and the successful commercial market preparations began with multiple crewed vertical takeoff and landing flights.

It is also moving toward air taxi operations in collaboration with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and the UAE General Authority of Civil Aviation.

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Roads and Transport Authority, witnessed the first flights and ground operations, underscoring Dubai’s commitment to advanced air mobility.

Additionally, in collaboration with Skyports Infrastructure, construction of Joby’s first commercial vertiport at Dubai International Airport (DXB) is underway and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
