HHLA Sky and Skycharge have taken a significant step toward scaling autonomous drone operations by validating next-generation docking and charging infrastructure at the Port of Hamburg. The new Skycharge Hangar underwent rigorous testing under challenging maritime conditions, demonstrating its robustness and reliability.

Integrated as a proof of concept within HHLA Sky’s Open Integrated Control Center (ICC), the system enables continuous 24/7 readiness, weather-resistant autonomous operations, interoperability between different drone types, and the capacity for large-scale deployment.

This collaboration represents a key advancement in automating inspection, security, and logistics processes, driving the adoption of more efficient and scalable drone operations.
