Future Energy Global has signed the Bodø e-SAF Declaration, reaffirming its commitment to the production and adoption of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) in Europe. This initiative seeks to accelerate the transition to cleaner and more sustainable aviation, aligning with the industry’s climate goals.

The Declaration calls for measures such as:
– ensuring long-term regulatory certainty for SAF until 2050, with stable mandates to enable investment
– supporting market-based measures such as the EU ETS to provide incentives to shift away from fossil fuels and increase SAF allocations to ensure longer planning horizons for investors
– enabling long-term purchasing through intermediation between SAF producers and buyers
– supporting a European book-and-claims system to ensure maximum emissions reductions with optimized economics
