FatHopes Energy, Bin Zayed International and Topsoe are planning to develop an integrated SAF refinery in Port Klang by 2030.

July 14 2025

This project will position Malaysia as a key player in sustainable aviation fuel production in Asia.

With Topsoe’s technological backing and a robust feedstock ecosystem, the refinery is designed to boost regional SAF capacity and accelerate the energy transition.

As the project moves toward implementation, Alicia Chin, Corporate Finance and M&A Leader at FatHopes Energy, will play a key role in the financial strategy that will support the next stages of growth. Her role will be essential in driving strategic investments, structuring corporate development, and leading new M&A opportunities as the company scales its operations in the sustainable fuels sector.
