Eve Air Mobility Reaches 50 Test Flights and Advances Towards eVTOL Certification

9 April 2026

Eve Air Mobility announced that its full-scale engineering prototype has successfully completed 50 test flights at Gavião Peixoto Airport in Brazil, accumulating more than two flight hours since the program’s inception in December 2025.

These trials have generated key data to validate the aircraft’s performance, stability, and efficiency systems, solidifying the company’s technical progress on its path to certification.

According to Johann Bordais, this milestone reflects the maturity of the program and the robustness of the solutions being developed, including not only the aircraft but also the operational services, infrastructure, and airspace management necessary for large-scale urban air mobility.

The development is based on Embraer’s methodology, which integrates aircraft design with solutions for operators, cities, and air navigation providers, facilitating the future implementation of the eVTOL ecosystem.

Looking ahead to the next phases, the company plans to begin production of six test prototypes that will be part of the certification campaign with ANAC (the Argentine Civil Aviation Authority). Simultaneously, testing will continue, expanding the flight envelope and evaluating speed, controllability, energy consumption, noise, and vibrations, with the goal of conducting full transition flights before the end of the year.
