Electra Aero has announced the return of the EL2 Goldfinch, its two-seat hybrid-electric prototype, after completing its first intensive maintenance cycle and a major systems upgrade. This advancement represents a key step toward a new category of air transportation that connects people and places like never before.

Since its first flight in November 2023, the EL2 has undergone 14 months of flight testing, gathering critical data for the development of its successor: the EL9, a nine-passenger production aircraft.

Now, with an improved configuration, the EL2 has resumed flights to expand its test envelope, refine the design, and validate the EL9’s innovative UltraShortTakeoff capabilities.
