EHang (Nasdaq: EH) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kazakhstan's Allur Group to advance the development of the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) ecosystem in Central Asia.

16-Sep-2025

As part of the agreement, Allur Group intends to initially acquire 20 EH216 eVTOL aircraft—10 EH216-S units for passenger transport and 10 EH216-L units for cargo—establishing the basis for the first UAM operations center in Kazakhstan. The collaboration also includes the potential creation of a local eVTOL assembly facility to serve both the Kazakh market and neighboring countries.

The visit by the Allur Group delegation, led by President Andrey Lavrentyev and First Vice President Syrym Semeibayev, included a tour of EHang’s headquarters in Guangzhou and its production facility in Yunfu, where they met with founder and CEO Huazhi Hu and COO Zhao Wang. Lavrentyev had the opportunity to personally pilot the EH216-S, experiencing firsthand EHang’s signature innovation in autonomous aviation.

Huazhi Hu emphasized that this partnership reflects EHang’s technology export and industrial co-development model, strengthening its global presence in UAM. For his part, Zhao Wang emphasized that Allur Group’s industrial strength and local channel network make the company an ideal strategic partner to accelerate the commercial deployment of eVTOLs in the region, promote low-altitude economy standards, and create an “air bridge” connecting Asia and Europe.

Kazakhstan’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Roman Sklyar, congratulated both companies and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to advancing legislation and policies for eVTOL and UAM, drawing on EHang’s experience.
