EagleNXT Finalizes Sale of Tactical Drones and Sensors to the U.S. Army in January 2026 via Dronivo

2 Jan 2025

AgEagle Aerial Systems Inc., operating under the EagleNXT brand (NYSE: UAVS), announced the successful sale of six eBee TAC tactical mapping drones to the U.S. Army. Each drone is equipped with SODA 3D and Duet M sensors with full RTK/PPK capability. The transaction was executed through Dronivo GmbH, the company’s business partner in Germany.

The eBee TAC systems will be used by the U.S. Army in a variety of missions, highlighting their centimeter-level accuracy capabilities thanks to RTK/PPK, which reduces the need for ground control points even in complex or unconnected environments. The eBee TAC drone is a fixed-wing, manually launched platform with up to 90 minutes of flight time, a range of 27.6 km, and digital camouflage.

Among the integrated sensors, SODA 3D enables the simultaneous capture of nadir and oblique images for advanced 3D modeling, while Duet M combines RGB and multispectral imaging for vegetation analysis, environmental monitoring, and surface modeling. The company stated that the system is NDAA compliant and listed as a Blue UAS.

EagleNXT noted that the acquisition reflects the growing demand for advanced tactical mapping capabilities and that it implemented operational improvements throughout 2025 to reduce delivery times. Potential uses for the eBee TAC include border surveillance and reconnaissance, tactical mapping for operational planning, intelligence gathering, search and rescue, counterinsurgency, and training and simulation support.
