Port Klang, Malaysia – In a landmark move for sustainable aviation in Asia, Bin Zayed International (Asia) and FatHopes Energy have announced a strategic partnership to develop an integrated sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) refinery in the heart of Malaysia’s port city.

This collaboration unites BZI’s global investment vision with FatHopes Energy’s strong 15-year track record in waste-derived biofuels. The initiative not only seeks to build infrastructure but also to transform aviation’s energy model from Asia to the world.

“This isn’t just a refinery. It’s a new way of flying, driven by sustainability and a local vision,” said Vinesh Sinha, CEO of FatHopes Energy.

The project is aligned with Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap and represents a key advancement in energy security, the circular economy, and climate commitment. From local waste to international airlines, Malaysia is positioning itself as a regional leader in the transition to cleaner and more resilient aviation.
