Electra Achieves Takeoffs in Just 150 Feet

24 March 2026

Electra.aero has highlighted the potential of combining electric motors with its blown lift technology, enabling high lift generation even at very low speeds.

This approach allows its aircraft to take off and land in just 150 feet (45 meters), drastically reducing the need for traditional airport infrastructure and enabling operations in extremely confined spaces.

The key lies in the use of distributed propulsion that blows air over the wings, increasing aerodynamic efficiency during critical phases of flight.

This innovation reinforces the development of its hybrid-electric model and its vision of more accessible, precise, and sustainable aviation.
