HSBC Visits Avioxx's SAF Facility in Cheshire to Learn About Progress and Expansion Plans

This week, a British producer of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) hosted HSBC teams at its Cheshire facility. The team included representatives from the Commercial, Project Infrastructure Finance, and Sustainable Fuels and Transport teams. The visit focused on exchanging information about current developments in the sector.
During the visit, the teams toured the SAF development laboratory and shared perspectives on the evolution of the industry, in a context marked by the progress toward Net Zero targets and the approaching 10% SAF mandate for 2030. The company outlined its production approach, highlighting its status as a British producer that supplies SAF independently of the grid and its focus on improving cost competitiveness compared to fossil fuels.
The visit included discussions with HSBC representatives about the sustainable aviation fuel landscape, collaborative dynamics within the sector, and the overall investment and infrastructure prospects related to the deployment of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF). The meeting provided an opportunity to review the company’s growth plans and maintain an open dialogue on the role of SAF in the aviation energy transition.
