SAF APAC Summit 2026 has confirmed the participation of Ed Mason, CEO of Jet Zero, as a strategic speaker for the next edition of the event. The project aims to utilize surplus ethanol from agricultural byproducts on Australia’s east coast to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at a plant to be built in Townsville, Queensland. Mason has over two decades of experience in banking and finance, having held senior management positions at HSBC, Renaissance Capital, Bank of America, and Royal Bank of Canada. He holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Monash University and a Corporate Finance certification from the Securities Institute of Australia.

The 2026 SAF APAC Summit will be held from July 8-9 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), bringing together more than 450 senior leaders and over 90 experts from the aviation, energy, finance, technology, and government sectors. The event will address the steps needed to scale SAF’s regional production, strengthen supply chains in Asia-Pacific, and solidify the region’s leadership in aviation decarbonization.
