Saudi Arabia Advances Archer's Electric Air Taxi Project in its Advanced Air Mobility Strategy

10 Dec 2025

The General Civil Aviation Authority of Saudi Arabia (GACA) continues to advance the implementation of the electric air taxi project developed by Archer Aviation, strengthening its national strategy to introduce Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) solutions in the country.

The agency is working on the regulatory, operational, and infrastructure assessment necessary to integrate eVTOL aircraft into urban environments, with the goal of improving connectivity, reducing emissions, and positioning Saudi Arabia as one of the first countries to adopt commercial electric air transport services.

The project is part of the efforts aligned with Vision 2030, which seeks to modernize the transportation system, promote sustainability, and foster new aerospace technology industries. Archer Aviation continues to collaborate with Saudi entities on certification, operational testing, and initial route planning for future operations.
