Skycharge Launches Universal Drone Charging Hangar, Ready for 24/7 Operation
4 Dec 2025
Skycharge unveiled its new Skycharge Hangar, an automated docking and charging station designed for uninterrupted drone operations, with the flexibility to work with any type of UAV. The facility stands out for its CE certification, environmental robustness, and compatibility with multiple aerial platforms.
The hangar offers a comprehensive solution: a robust metal structure with a climate control (HVAC) system, resistance to extreme temperatures (from -35°C to +65°C), and a 3 kW fast-charging battery system with an automated base compatible with multiple drone models, eliminating dependence on a single manufacturer.
Furthermore, its modular design allows for the deployment of one or more hangars with rapid installation (less than a day) and simplified maintenance.
The solution has already been validated in real-world environments: in collaboration with HHLA Sky, it was successfully tested in port operations at the Port of Hamburg under rain, coastal conditions, temperature variations, and unstable power, demonstrating operational continuity and multi-platform compatibility with various UAVs.
With this launch, Skycharge aims to transform the use of drones in surveillance, logistics, inspections, BVLOS (beyond line of sight) missions, and autonomous operations, offering a reliable, scalable, and production-ready infrastructure.
