Eve Air Mobility Selects BETA Technologies as Engine Supplier for its eVTOL

3 Dec 2025

Eve Air Mobility announced the selection of BETA Technologies as the supplier of electric thrust motors for its conformal prototypes and production aircraft. With an order backlog of 2,800 eVTOLs, the company is strengthening its supply chain with an agreement that represents a potential opportunity of up to $1 billion over 10 years for BETA. The decision follows an evaluation process in which Eve tested and validated the motors on its Engineering Prototype, as it progresses toward its first flight planned for late 2025 or early 2026.

Eve emphasized that integrating BETA’s technology—renowned for its high efficiency, low complexity, and industry-leading power-to-weight ratios—will enhance the performance, operational reliability, and sustainability of its propulsion system. The company emphasized that this alliance strengthens its strategy of working with top-tier aerospace suppliers, including BAE Systems, Garmin, Honeywell Aerospace, Intergalactic, and Nidec Aerospace.
