Thailand Moves Towards Mass Commercial eVTOL Operations by 2026

26 Nov 2025

The Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) and EHang’s main institutional investor have reached a key agreement: by the end of 2026, Thailand plans to commercially operate up to 100 pilotless EH216-S eVTOLs in more than 20 sandbox areas across the country.

During a demonstration flight held today in the heart of Bangkok at SCG’s century-old headquarters, senior Thai officials expressed their support for eVTOL passenger transport, highlighting the safety and potential of the EH216-S model within the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) ecosystem.

The full conversation with the CAAT Director General will be published soon.
