EHang Completes First Unmanned Urban eVTOL Flights in Doha

EHang announced the completion of the first unmanned urban flights of its EH216-S eVTOL aircraft in Doha, marking a historic milestone for the development of Urban Air Mobility in the Middle East. The operations were carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Transport and authorized by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA).

The flight, between the Port of Doha and the Katara Cultural Village, covered a landmark route in approximately eight minutes. The operation demonstrated the potential of autonomous eVTOLs to connect key points within the city, offering a sustainable, efficient, and zero-emission mobility alternative.

The demonstration underscores the regulatory and technological advancements necessary to integrate unmanned aircraft into dense urban environments, representing a strategic step for the commercial deployment of this technology in the region.
