Volocopter has joined THE Aerospace LÄND program, the aerospace initiative of the German state of Baden-Württemberg, one of Europe’s leading regions for aerospace innovation. This recognition strengthens Volocopter’s position within the German aerospace ecosystem, characterized by a robust research infrastructure, a highly specialized equipment industry, and an efficient network of manufacturers and suppliers.

The company highlighted three key projects in this new phase: the goal of obtaining EASA type certification for its electric eVTOL aircraft by the end of 2026, the development of the VoloXPro ultralight model, and the creation of a sandbox in Bruchsal for conducting flight tests under real-world conditions. With these initiatives, Volocopter is moving closer to its goal of leading urban air mobility and enabling commercial operations by 2027.
