Vertical Aerospace Performs First Airport-to-Airport Flight with Its VX4 eVTOL at the Royal International Air Tattoo

RAF Fairford, United Kingdom. During the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT), one of the world’s largest military airshows, Vertical Aerospace unveiled its VX4 aircraft, marking a significant milestone in the history of electric aviation.

The VX4’s flight to RAF Fairford represented the first airport-to-airport flight by a full-scale, piloted, winged tiltrotor eVTOL designed specifically for commercial passenger service.

The company emphasized that participating in an event of this magnitude allowed the public and industry experts to showcase the VX4’s technological advancements and operational maturity, consolidating its position as one of the leaders in the transition to cleaner, more sustainable aviation.
