Archer Aviation Completes Test Flight at 7,000 Feet with its Midnight Aircraft

22-Sep-2025

Salinas, CA – September 22, 2025 – Archer Aviation Inc. (NYSE: ACHR) announced that its Midnight eVTOL aircraft reached an altitude of 7,000 feet on its most recent test flight, setting a new record within its flight envelope expansion program.

The takeoff took place from the company’s test facility in Salinas, California. During the flight, the test pilot executed a steady climb, leveled the aircraft at the target altitude, and completed a total of 45 miles at speeds exceeding 120 mph.

Archer emphasized that while eVTOL aircraft are primarily designed to operate between 1,500 and 4,000 feet, Midnight’s ability to reach higher altitudes offers greater flexibility for managing air traffic in high-density urban environments and facilitates operations in cities located at higher elevations.

This achievement follows the record achieved last month, when Midnight traveled approximately 55 miles in 31 minutes at over 126 mph. Archer continues to prepare Midnight for FAA certification in the United States and planned commercialization in the United Arab Emirates.
