SHEIN and Lufthansa Cargo Sign Agreement to Promote Sustainable Air Transport

August 26 2025

Global fashion and lifestyle company SHEIN and leading cargo airline Lufthansa Cargo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote sustainable solutions in air transport. The agreement, signed on August 19, 2025, includes a program to expand the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in SHEIN’s shipments, with concrete actions to be defined in the next six months.

The initiative aligns with SHEIN’s commitment to reducing the carbon footprint of its logistics operations. Lufthansa Cargo will provide externally verified sustainability certificates documenting emissions reductions compared to the use of conventional fuels.

The two companies will also explore other areas of cooperation, such as knowledge sharing and mechanisms to strengthen traceability and environmental data reporting. The agreement marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration that seeks to accelerate the decarbonization of global air transport.
