Wisk Aero and Signature Aviation Advance Infrastructure Development for Autonomous Advanced Air Mobility

August 15 2025

Mountain View, CA – Wisk Aero, a leading developer of fully electric autonomous vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, and Signature Aviation, the world’s largest network of private aviation terminals, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance the planning and development of infrastructure for autonomous Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) operations within Signature’s global network.

The agreement includes identifying and evaluating locations for the development of vertiports compatible with Wisk’s autonomous operations, considering commercial, financial, regulatory, technical, and operational factors. As a first tangible step, both companies have already initiated a project at Signature Aviation’s facility at Ellington Airport (EFD) in Houston, Texas, focused on the conceptual design of vertiports, operational flows, and infrastructure for Wisk’s Gen 6 model.

This collaboration strengthens Wisk’s presence in Texas and its partnership with the Houston Airport System and the City of Sugar Land, with the goal of establishing a framework for future commercial agreements and an integrated network that enables safe, large-scale operations.
