Technip Energies and Shell Catalysts & Technologies Sign Global Alliance for Carbon Capture Solutions

July 21 2025

Technip Energies and Shell Catalysts & Technologies have signed a global alliance agreement to exclusively offer an amine-based post-combustion carbon capture solution using the Shell CANSOLV® system.

The alliance combines Shell’s cutting-edge technology with Technip Energies’ expertise in project integration and delivery, offering a complementary solution designed to accelerate decarbonization in hard-to-abate industrial sectors. The two companies will work closely together from concept to operational support, optimizing performance and ensuring efficient execution.

This partnership builds on more than a decade of collaboration and continuous innovation, supported by two operational facilities with CANSOLV® technology and four projects that have reached final investment decisions in the last two years, including Net Zero Teesside Power, which will be the world’s first gas-fired power plant with carbon capture and storage.

Through this alliance, both companies seek to make carbon capture more accessible, scalable, and attractive for investment, actively contributing to global emissions reduction goals.
