The second quarter of 2025 marked a turning point in the development of the Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) market. According to the report published by ClimeFi, the market for durable CDR solutions doubled in volume, from 13.5 million to 29.2 million tons of CO₂.

Highlights include:
• Purchases more than doubled the total recorded for all of 2024.
• Financial commitments reached US$3.9 billion, far surpassing the previous quarterly record.
• Notable growth was observed in debt financing, reflecting signs of market maturation.
