Mach Industries Raises $100 Million Series B Round
June 25 2025
💥 Mach Industries — a young but ambitious California-based defense company — has closed a $100 million Series B round, led by Sequoia Capital and Khosla Ventures, reaching a valuation of $470 million. All this, just two years after its founding by Ethan Thornton.
🔧 What does Mach Industries do?
Mach is revolutionizing the defense industry with a focus on unmanned warfare and decentralized manufacturing. Its solutions include:
🚁 Viper: a jet-powered VTOL UAV
🛩️ Glide: a high-altitude glider with long-range strike capability
📡 Stratos: a persistent aerial platform for ISR and communications
🏭 Forge: its flagship facility in Huntington Beach (115,000 sq ft), conceived as a model for replicable factories around the world to produce critical UAV components—both its own and those of strategic allies.
🧠 According to its founder, “global security depends on the United States’ ability to scale unmanned vehicles as an asymmetric advantage.” Mach is positioned as a flexible, rapid, and hard-technology-focused defense platform.
🔋 The new capital will be used to:
Expand the Forge manufacturing network
Scale production of the Viper, Glide, and Stratos
Accelerate the development of Mach Propulsion, its tactical engine division
