Amsterdam, June 2025 – Leading sustainable aviation fuels company SkyNRG has released its fifth SAF Market Outlook, in collaboration with ICF, highlighting that global SAF demand could triple by 2035, far exceeding projected production capacity, especially from the currently dominant HEFA route.

The report warns of a 26 million tonne shortfall between projected supply and future demand, driven by mandates in Europe and the UK and commitments from more than 60 airlines. It urges diversification of technologies and feedstocks, as 82% of production currently relies on limited HEFA.
