Wisk and NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration Sign Five-Year Research Agreement to Advance Autonomous Flight
June 04 2025
Just days ago, Wisk announced the signing of a new five-year Nonrefundable Space Act Agreement (NRSAA) with NASA. This agreement focuses on critical research led by NASA’s Air Traffic Management Exploration (ATM-X) project, which aims to develop autonomous aircraft under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) in the National Airspace System.
Since 2020, Wisk and NASA have collaborated to develop key guidelines for the safe integration of autonomous aircraft systems for UAM operations, under an initial Space Act Agreement. This expanded collaboration will focus on research using advanced simulation and Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) flight environments, which combine live flights with simulated airspace so researchers can evaluate future operations.
