Joby Aviation Tests Two Aircraft Simultaneously

May 12 2025

Joby Aviation, Inc. (NYSE:JOBY), a developer of electric air taxis for commercial passenger transportation, announced today that it has successfully completed the first simultaneous flight of two of its aircraft, marking another important milestone in its flight test program.

The two-aircraft flight, completed in Marina, California, on May 9, further demonstrates the maturity of Joby’s test program and comes just two weeks after the company announced another test milestone, successfully completing flights with a full transition from vertical flight to cruise flight and vice versa, with a pilot on board.

Commenting on this milestone, JoeBen Bevirt, Founder and CEO, stated, “This achievement not only demonstrates Joby’s leadership in the industry, but also further demonstrates the power of American innovation.”
