Aerial herbicide application by Skyports Drone Services with the ACS Infrastructure team.

April 30 2025

Skyports Drone Service has shared a video on its account about aerial herbicide application, also known as pond spraying, which took place in Florida last week with support from the ACS Infrastructure team.

Invasive cattail species are causing drainage problems in Florida’s waterways, posing risks to nearby infrastructure.

Using drones to spray herbicides is an effective solution that is faster, cheaper, and more accurate than traditional methods, according to feedback from Skyports Drone Service.

Utilizing their Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) expertise from our drone delivery and inspection projects around the world, they plan to conduct BVLOS aerial spraying over the next year, greatly increasing the efficiency of the service.

This is just one of several projects they have launched with the ACS team since their Series C capital raise last year.
