Joby Aviation and Air Space Intelligence Partner to Scale eVTOL Operations in the U.S.
7 April 2026
Joby Aviation and Air Space Intelligence announced a strategic alliance to facilitate the integration of electric eVTOL aircraft into the U.S. national airspace system.
The collaboration is based on ASI’s Flyways AI platform, which uses artificial intelligence and 4D models to optimize air traffic management in complex environments. The goal is to enable large-scale electric flight operations safely and efficiently.
Both companies plan to conduct joint demonstrations and live operational exercises throughout 2026, focusing on flight coordination in high-density airspace.
The initiative will also explore integration with the FAA’s BNATCS system, which is geared toward more automated air traffic management, potentially facilitating progressively more autonomous operations.
This alliance addresses one of the major challenges of advanced air mobility: the capacity of the airspace to support the growth of eVTOL operations at a commercial scale.
