Vertical Aerospace Signs Agreement with JetSetGo to Accelerate Electric and Hybrid Aviation in India

5 Feb 2026

Vertical Aerospace [NYSE: EVTL], a global aerospace technology company pioneering electric aviation, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JetSetGo, one of India’s leading private aviation operators, for the pre-order of 50 Valo eVTOL aircraft and the joint development of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) services in the country.

The agreement establishes a strategic collaboration for route development, operating models, business planning, and regulatory management, positioning India as a key market for certified AAM services. The Valo is Vertical’s flagship electric aircraft, designed to fly up to 160 kilometers at speeds of 240 km/h, with zero operational emissions and meeting safety standards equivalent to those of commercial aviation.

As part of the agreement, a hybrid-electric variant of the Valo, currently under development, will also be evaluated. This variant will offer greater range and mission flexibility, particularly well-suited to the diverse use cases in the Indian market, including longer-haul regional routes.

JetSetGo will lead market research and operational planning for short-haul metropolitan and regional routes, conducting technical assessments, demand modeling, and feasibility studies on selected corridors. The company emphasized that the Valo’s design—including its future hybrid version—aligns with its strategy of connecting major urban centers and underserved regions where ground transportation presents significant limitations.

This agreement reinforces Vertical Aerospace’s expansion in Asia and underscores India’s growing interest in sustainable, efficient, and certified air mobility solutions.
