Archer Activates Its Own FBO in Hawthorne and Strengthens Its Los Angeles Network

5 April 2026

Archer Aviation has begun operating its own Fixed Base Operator (FBO) at Hawthorne Airport (KHHR) following the acquisition of this strategically located facility in the Los Angeles area.

With this acquisition, Archer now offers full-service FBOs at one of the region’s best-positioned private airports, located just minutes from key locations such as Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), SoFi Stadium, and downtown.

Operating an FBO allows the company to strengthen its ground infrastructure, a fundamental element for the development of advanced air mobility operations. These facilities will be key to supporting future eVTOL aircraft operations, facilitating services such as maintenance, flight operations, and passenger experience.

This move reflects a clear vertical integration strategy, where Archer not only develops aircraft but also the necessary infrastructure for their commercial deployment, especially in high-demand urban markets like Los Angeles.

This initiative positions the company further along the path to real-world operation, aligning with its goal of launching electric air taxi services in the coming years.
