XCF Global to Double SAF Production with New Rise Reno 2 Expansion in the U.S.
8 Dec 2025
XCF Global has taken a strategic step in its growth plan by completing the initial development of New Rise Reno 2, its second sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production facility. With a planned investment of $300 million, the company projects doubling its total capacity to approximately 80 million gallons per year, making New Rise Reno one of the largest SAF production centers in the United States.
The company reported that the leveling of the 10-acre site and the construction of access roads are complete, while engineering and planning continue, with construction slated to begin in 2026. The new facility will be located adjacent to the original plant in Nevada, leveraging shared infrastructure such as gas, water, rail, pretreatment, hydrogen, and logistics facilities, reducing costs and accelerating commissioning.
CEO Chris Cooper emphasized that New Rise Reno 2 marks “the next step in the company’s growth strategy,” building an expanded and fully integrated platform capable of meeting the growing global demand for SAF.
The expansion coincides with accelerating international mandates, with the US and Europe representing the sector’s greatest opportunities. While the United States aims for 3 billion gallons of SAF by 2030, current production remains below 1% of demand; and in Europe, the requirements of the ReFuelEU regulation anticipate structural shortages and high prices.
XCF also strengthened its international presence through a Memorandum of Understanding with BGN INT US LLC, aimed at creating global frameworks for the distribution, marketing, and sale of SAF in Europe, the Middle East, and other key markets.
