Vertical Aerospace and Aciturri Aerostructures have announced a long-term strategic collaboration for the manufacturing of the VX4 airframe.

August 4 2025

Under this agreement, Aciturri will supply the complete VX4 structure, including wings, fuselage, empennage, and pylons, packaged for both pre-production units and, after certification, for commercial versions.

In addition to manufacturing, Aciturri will assume structural engineering responsibilities and concurrent manufacturing engineering support, ensuring efficiency and scalability in VX4 production. This alliance reinforces Vertical’s Flightpath 2030 plan, focused on establishing a robust supply chain ready for large-scale production.

With nearly 50 years of experience in commercial aeronautical programs—including key components for Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer—and a proven track record in eVTOL projects, Aciturri is positioned as the ideal partner to take the VX4 from design to certified production.

Stuart Simpson, CEO of Vertical Aerospace, highlighted:
“As we move toward commercialization, the VX4 requires an airframe specifically designed for the unique challenges of vertical electric aviation and meeting the highest safety certification standards. Aciturri brings the global capability, agility, and technical excellence needed to transform great designs into great aircraft.”
