Sarla Aviation Partners with Air Charter International to Evaluate eVTOL Operations in the Gulf Cooperation Council

23 Jan 2026

Sarla Aviation (India) announced a strategic collaboration with Air Charter International – ACI (United Kingdom) to explore the application of advanced air mobility (AAM) and eVTOL operations in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The initiative focuses on analyzing real-world operational use cases, aligned with regulatory frameworks, infrastructure, and market expectations in one of the most mature aviation regions globally.

The collaboration combines Sarla Aviation’s development of next-generation eVTOL aircraft with ACI’s operational expertise in charter flights, leasing, and the management of complex aircraft, with a presence in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Africa. The goal is to assess how the charter and on-demand model can evolve toward electric and sustainable solutions.

As part of the agreement, both companies will work on:

  • Identifying high-potential partners and clients in the GCC
  • Assessing infrastructure readiness, including vertiports and ecosystem integration
  • Engaging with regional stakeholders to define regulatory and operational pathways for eVTOLs

The GCC region is known for its long-term vision in aviation, combining innovation, premium mobility, and next-generation infrastructure. ACI’s regulatory expertise and regional presence will enable Sarla Aviation to validate deployment scenarios and operational requirements for future eVTOL operations tailored to the local context.
