Sarla Aviation and OEC Green Developers Explore Integration of eVTOL Infrastructure in Kerala Tourism Developments

10 Feb 2026

Sarla Aviation and OEC Green Developers LLP are advancing a strategic collaboration aimed at establishing the foundation for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) in India, with an initial focus on Kerala as a high-end leisure tourism destination. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to integrate eVTOL solutions from the early stages of urban, real estate, and hotel planning.

As part of this collaboration, Sarla Aviation is actively working with property developers and the hotel community across the country to identify, plan, and design spaces for future vertiports, recognizing that early integration in the design phase is key to achieving a smooth and efficient implementation of next-generation air mobility.

OEC Green Developers LLP is currently developing a Taj-branded resort in Calicut, a destination rapidly emerging as a premium leisure and tourism hub in Kerala. In parallel, the developer is promoting a 50-key luxury wellness project, which includes a dedicated wellness center and is already under construction, reflecting the growing demand for travel experiences focused on wellness and exclusivity.

As leisure tourism evolves, connectivity is becoming as important as the destination itself. Travelers increasingly prioritize saving time, comfort, and efficient access, especially in tourism and wellness destinations. In this context, Sarla Aviation and OEC Green Developers are evaluating how an eVTOL-ready infrastructure could complement traditional ground and air connectivity, allowing passengers to connect directly from domestic and international airports and reach their final destination in under 60 minutes.

This collaboration aims to anticipate the future of tourism, enabling destinations that stand out not only for their appeal but also for smart, efficient, and sustainable accessibility, aligned with the needs of the modern traveler.

Sarla Aviation reaffirms its commitment to working alongside visionary developers to build a sustainable, time-efficient, and next-generation regional air mobility ecosystem in India.
