Puro.earth announced that its Carbon Removal Certificate (CORC) price index reached €150.98 in March, up from €136.14 in January, reflecting sustained growth in demand and greater maturity in the carbon removal market.
Benno Fuchs, COO of Puro.earth, noted:
“I am proud to see the CORC indices remain stable even in turbulent times. This underscores the potential of our market: stable prices with growing supply and demand show that we are on the right path to becoming a more mature carbon removal market.”
The CORC index, developed in collaboration with Nasdaq, is the first of its kind to track the price of carbon removal using engineered methods. This index provides greater transparency to the carbon credit market and helps companies understand the true cost of offsetting their emissions.
This advancement is part of Puro.earth’s ongoing efforts to promote verified, high-integrity carbon removal solutions, supporting companies in their carbon neutrality strategies.
