Energy company Mabanaft has officially begun supplying jet fuel and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) type HEFA SPK to Frankfurt Airport, marking a new milestone in its expansion into the German aviation market. This new operation adds to its already established activities at airports in the United Kingdom and Norway.
Since early 2025, Mabanaft has worked closely with its partner Skytanking to ensure safe and efficient operations for airlines operating out of Frankfurt. Among the first customers to benefit from this supply are Singapore Airlines and the Lufthansa Group.
“These partnerships reinforce Mabanaft’s commitment to strengthening aviation supply chains in Germany and Europe,” said Simon Weiss, the company’s Director of Aviation. Weiss also emphasized that Mabanaft’s extensive warehousing network across Germany enables them to offer a reliable and consistent supply.
In compliance with the European SAF Mandate, the company plans to deliver more than 1,000 tons of this sustainable fuel to the airport by 2025, underscoring its commitment to a cleaner future for the aviation industry.
Mabanaft continues to expand its portfolio of energy solutions, combining conventional products with low-carbon options. Its strategic focus is particularly on sectors that are difficult to electrify, such as aviation, leveraging its logistics capabilities in the supply, storage, handling, and distribution of liquid fuels.
With this new initiative, Mabanaft reaffirms its role as a key player in the energy transition of the transportation sector, offering its customers solutions tailored to the challenges of the present and the future.
