Jet Aviation Launches Permanent Supply of SAF at its Basel Base Starting in January 2025

19 Jan 2026

Jet Aviation announced the launch of a permanent supply of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) at its Basel, Switzerland facility, following the signing of an agreement with World Fuel Services. The initiative, announced on January 13, 2025, makes Basel the twelfth Jet Aviation facility globally with SAF available on-site.

Once implemented, SAF will be available for all flights operating from Jet Aviation Basel, including test flights, redelivery after maintenance, and aircraft completion operations. Basel is the company’s global headquarters, its largest maintenance center, and a key hub for its VIP completion business.

Jet Aviation was the first company to introduce SAF in Switzerland during the 2020 World Economic Forum and subsequently offered on-site supply in Geneva during EBACE 2022, 2023, and 2024. With this move, the company establishes a continuous supply of SAF in the country for the first time.

Currently, Jet Aviation also offers SAF at its facilities in Amsterdam and Rotterdam (Netherlands), Singapore, Van Nuys (California), Bozeman (Montana), and Scottsdale (Arizona), in addition to global access through the Book & Claim system. The company has confirmed the addition of SAF in Dallas, Houston, Palm Beach, Bedford, and Teterboro starting in January 2025, and at its new Miami-Opa Locka FBO once it begins operations.

Jet Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), employs approximately 4,000 people, and operates in 50 locations worldwide, offering aircraft management, maintenance, FBO, charter, aircraft completion, and government program services.
