This advancement positions the project as an eligible candidate to move towards future carbon removal certifications under the platform’s standard.

The InBECCS project is designed to capture biogenic CO₂ from Evero Energy’s advanced waste treatment operations. The captured carbon dioxide will be transported for permanent geological storage, creating a fully integrated BECCS value chain focused on long-term carbon removal in the United Kingdom.

Passing the Preliminary Assessment provides early clarity to investors, buyers, and strategic partners, confirming that the project meets the technical and methodological eligibility criteria required for future certifications.
