Eion Carbon Becomes the First Certified ERW Supplier Under the Puro Standard, Issuing 748 CORCs

24-Sep-2025

Puro.earth has issued 748 CORCs to Eion, each representing one ton of durably removed CO₂, independently verified using the Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) methodology.

This is the first ERW issuance in the Puro Registry, reflecting years of field data generation, scientific development, and a collective commitment to building a high-integrity pathway for carbon removal through accelerated rock weathering.

Eion, which connects industrial-scale mining and agricultural supply chains, accelerates the natural weathering process of minerals to safely capture and store CO₂ in soils and waters. This achievement demonstrates that ERW can now meet the Puro Standard’s rigorous durability and traceability requirements, marking a milestone in the transition from scientific research to actual carbon credit accreditation.
