EHang and the China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology Sign Strategic Agreement to Boost Low-Altitude Aviation

Hefei, China, November 2025 – EHang Holdings Limited, a global leader in the development of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology (CAST). This alliance aims to strengthen collaboration in flight safety, airworthiness certification, regulatory standards, operational support, and technological innovation.

The agreement seeks to accelerate the commercialization of the low-altitude economy in China, boost the development of civil technologies for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and eVTOLs, and enhance the country’s global competitiveness in aeronautical science and technology.

During the signing ceremony, held in Hefei, CAST representatives witnessed a demonstration flight of the EH216-S pilotless eVTOL, designed for autonomous passenger transport. Both institutions will leverage their complementary strengths to promote research, innovation, and the creation of an operational ecosystem that fosters the safe, efficient, and sustainable development of next-generation aviation.
